All of plants grown at member's yards are originated in seedlings from selfing of a favorite parent or crossing between different favorite parents. Christmasroses(Orientalis Hybrids) are hetero- geneous. So we cannot maintain pure lines by selfing but by partition of a plant. Seedlings from selfing, as well as crossing, segregate in various traits, especially in color of flowers. .
